The tag line for new Elevation restaurant at McCollum Field in Kennesaw is Midtown food without the Midtown drive "While it does a sophisticated menu" in a suburban location, Elevation also offers an unobstructed view of aircrafts taking off and landing. The entire front of the multi-story structure is constructed of glass panels with a view of Kennesaw Mountain National Park and the aircraft landing and taking off only a few feet away. "The airplanes taxi up five feet from the restaurant," Michael says. "Even people who are not excited about aviation will be when they come here. And just wait until they see the sunsets!" Elevation features an open dining room that seats 100 to 160 people; the 600-square-foot atrium provides a view down onto the wood fire grill, the saute station and the fryers where the food is being prepared-a true "open" kitchen. Open for lunch and dinner (11 a.m. until 12 a.m.), Elevation features a full wine list as well as a full-service bar and catering for aircraft. "For the people who fly, Elevation will be able to arrange meals that range from the simple and easy to the finest of gourmet cuisine. I can't think of a better place to fly in for a dinner date or to pick up a boxed lunch during your next fuel stop."
